George Hadow is een Engelse drummer, afkomstig uit Devon. Hij verhuisde in 2012 naar Amsterdam, nadat hij het jaar daarvoor de Dutch Impro Academy had gevolgd. Daar is hij nu een prominente figuur in de avant-gardescene. George heeft uitgebreid door Europa getoerd, voornamelijk met de paranoïde punkjazzband KUHN FU, waar hij sinds 2017 deel van uitmaakt. Met een breed scala aan invloeden, waaronder vroege jazz, vrije improvisatie, rock en ingewikkelde Rajasthani- en Carnatic-ritmes, streeft George ernaar een unieke benadering van het drumstel te brengen.

De muziek van Guus Janssen laat zich moeilijk categoriseren. Als pianist, clavecinist trad hij op in verschillende bezettingen met musici van John Zorn tot Gidon Kremer. Sinds begin jaren tachtig leidt hij zijn eigen ensembles, van (piano) trio tot 11-tet en (opera) orkest. Voor zijn werk op het gebied van de jazz en geïmproviseerde muziek ontving hij de Boy Edgar Prijs en zijn compositorisch werk werd bekroond met de Matthijs Vermeulen Prijs. In 2012 ontving hij voor zijn gehele oeuvre de Johan Wagenaar Prijs.

George Hadow is an English drummer originally from South-West Devon. He relocated to Amsterdam in 2012 after attending the Dutch Impro Academy the year prior, where he is now a prominent figure in the avant-garde scene. George has toured extensively across Europe, primarily with the paranoid-punk-jazz band KUHN FU, which he has been a part of since 2017. With a diverse range of influences, including early jazz, free improvisation, rock and intricate Rajasthani and Carnatic rhythms, George aims to bring a unique approach to the drum set.

The music of Guus Janssen is difficult to categorise. As a pianist and harpsichordist, he has performed in various ensembles with musicians ranging from John Zorn to Gidon Kremer. Since the early 1980s, he has led his own ensembles, from (piano) trios to 11-piece ensembles and (opera) orchestras. He received the Boy Edgar Prize for his work in the field of jazz and improvised music, and his compositional work was awarded the Matthijs Vermeulen Prize. In 2012 he received the Johan Wagenaar Prize for his entire oeuvre.
